Currently Loving

Hi friends, back with another currently loving blog post. This time it's a lot of beauty/skincare, so bear with me.

If you thought I was done blabbing on and on about this brand, you are sadly mistaken. I just cannot get over the quality and effectiveness of each product and each one is just under $10. These guys came in my second purchase from the brand and these were my favorites (I also got Caffeine solution + EGCG but haven't used it enough to talk about it).
Starting from the left, the Plant-Derived Squalene nearly changed my life when it comes to mositurizing. I've been in a funk when it comes to moisturizers; I've been using a deluxe sample of the It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream or the Glossier Priming Moisturizer. Both are just 'eh', but I've been adding a few drops of this Squalene oil and they turn into a dream combination. This oil absorbs quickly, isn't sticky or uncontrollably greasy, and most importantly doesn't feel heavy on the skin. I use this under my makeup and it makes a HUGE difference - I haven't had cakey foundation since. I use it morning and night.
I went through a major breakout this month and I literally almost considered going on Accutane again. Just kidding, but it was really awful and I still don't know why it was so bad. I got this Ordinary order, and the Salicylic Acid was the first thing I put on my face. It doesn't get rid of the acne overnight, but it definitely subsided within 2-3 days. Now I'm back to my normal pimple-here-and-there skin and I finally feel under control again. I use this at night before my moisturizer. I think this is something anyone with acne prone skin should have on hand.
Now for the next one, the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. I've seen this all over skincare instagrams and the color is what intrigued me. It quite hoenstly looks like blood and I still don't know why. I've wanted to try the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial peel, but the $80 price tag has been a factor. After researching the ingredients, I found that this $7 peel is literally the same ingredients, just a little different concentration. I've only used this a few times, it stung a lot at first, but now I notice it really sloughs off all my dead skin and makes my skin smooth and glowy the day after. I use it 1-2 times a week for 5-7 minutes!

To add to my skincare obsessions, I've been really loving body scrubs lately. Simply Scrub sent me these soursop and coffee organic scrubs which are really gritty and effective. I've always made my own coffee scrubs, but this one is way more hydrating. I use the coffee one on my chest, neck, and arms, (great if you get body breakouts) whereas I use the soursop one on my legs/feet (I'm not super obsessed with this smell, but it's really hydrating!). As for the Moroccan Rose scrub this one is AMAZE. I honestly just love the smell of this, but it melts into your skin and is really gentle, making it great for everyday.

This summer I really loved carrying around a tote, especially to work. It's so easy to throw my water bottle in, my much needed snacks, and if I'm doing errands it's much more pleasant to stick my shopping bags in here instead of carrying them all. If you follow me on any social media you know that I've been on a real Mac Demarco kick, and so when I saw him at Radio City a few weeks ago I just had to grab this tote. How cute? Here's a similar one.

One of my absolute favorite feelings is getting into bed with freshly washed sheets. To make that experience even better, I've been obsessed with this Eucalyptus pillow spray from Bath & Body Works. I've already used half the bottle (thanks a lot senior year). They have an entire line of this stress relief scent if you're not into the pillow spray.

This is my latest perfume purchase for a few reasons. One being that I think everyone should invest in a luxurious fragrance, I swear it changes your whole mood whenever you spray it on. Two, this was my aunt Kimmy's perfume and it is so special to me that whenever I spray it I immediately feel like I'm back with her. I got the smallest bottle because I recently learned that perfume goes 'stale' after a while, so using a smaller bottle means you wont waste as much. It's described as, "fresh and vibrant Orange immediately awaken the senses. A clear and sensual heart reveals the transparent accords of Grasse Jasmine and May Rose. The scent finally unfurls with the vibrant accents of Patchouli and Vetiver."
