NYX Butter Lip Gloss in Creme Brulée
I was watching a (cheesy) Lifetime Christmas movie last week and the main actress rocked a neutral glossy lip the entire movie which I immediately wanted to emulate. I love the NYX Butter Glosses because they're so comfy and smooth on your lips, not sticky! Creme Brulée is my favorite shade because it's not too pink and not too peachy - the perfect neutral.

Bare Minerals Blush in Tropical Radiance
I was rummaging through my unnecessarily massive makeup drawer unit before heading to Long Island last week and stumbled upon this blush. It's basically brand new, so I'm thrilled that I like it so much. It's a very peachy, coral shade that I'm not used to since I wear NARS orgasm essentially every time I put makeup on. It's a loose powder blush which is different and it's very pigmented- I use a duo fiber brush to apply it!

J.Crew Turtleneck
I got a camel colored cableknit (say that three times fast) sweater for Christmas from J.Crew. When my mom asked me which one I wanted, it was around the time Rach Parcell posted this outfit on her blog, so that's which one I picked! It's extremely warm and not itchy at all; best part is that it's a turtleneck, my latest obsession. I pair it with dark jeans and loafers, or some lighter skinny jeans and riding boots.

Long Island
So as many of you may know now, my boyfriend Michael lives on Long Island. I have to admit, I love going down to visit, to of course see him, but to be entertained by all there is on the island. There is always something to do, most of the time it's involving food which is probably why I'm always so happy there.  So this trip down to the island we went to the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, and it was an absolute gorgeous mall. I've never been to a real life LUSH store so we checked that out, and I bought this keychain/cardholder from Coach because it was exactly what I wanted for the city. After the mall trip, we headed to The Witches Brew in West Hempstead! It was a really cute coffeeshop with tons of desserts (some vegan options!) and lots of yummy espresso drinks. I got the Broomstick (espresso, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla) and I never wanted it to end. But that's when Michael gave me my Christmas gift, a gorgeous ring! It was one of my favorite trips.

The New Year // 2016
2016 is a favorite simply because it's a chance to start over and feel renewed. 2015 was ironically the best, yet worst year of my life for multiple reasons. It taught me a lot about myself and really changed my outlook on life. I don't have many resolutions, because I'm truly happy with who I am and happy with everything around me. I'll continue to better myself throughout the year so I can say the same thing this time next year. I get to start 2016 in a new environment with new people, and I can't wait to see the positive outcomes it will create. Here's to a happy, healthy New Year to all my readers and followers, friends, and family.

cheers! xo.
