Best Fashion Investments I've Made

So if you've been reading The Gold Dime for a while you might already know that I'm huge on buying quality products. I'm big on investing in a great, well made item rather than cutting back and purchasing poor quality. In the long run, you actually save money/spend just as much as you would if you invest in something rather than continuously having to replace an item in your closet. Knowing in the back of your mind that you can grab something from your collection and know it won't let you down is why I believe in investing. Here are some of my best investments to date:

J.Crew Excursion Vests

I own almost every color/shade of J.Crew vests. They're so well made, durable, and actually super warm. They are such a staple because you can throw them on over anything and it makes you look pulled together. They are starting to come out in stores now; get them before they're sold out!

Frye 'Veronica' leather boots

When I tell people I own Frye boots they typically look at me like I have three heads because of their typical price. For the longest time I struggled to find riding boots that 1. accommodated my huge calves and short legs as well as 2. we're classic and timeless and willing to spend my money on them. I went through one pair of Guess riding boots and the heel fell off within the first three months. You can just feel the quality of these boots while you walk in them. Perfectly structured and comfy; and my favorite, click when you walk. ;) My philosophy is that I'll never have to buy riding boots again because these are so great.

J.Crew White Jeans

Any style (cropped, wide leg, skinny) of white jeans are worth investing in, they look amazing with anything. As you can tell from my fashion posts, I love them. White jeans 'class' up any look and are perfect for warmer months.

Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses

When I was younger I never understood the hype of Ray-Bans, until I tried them on. They're so lightweight and sit perfectly. I'm a fan of large sunglasses, so the aviators are my favorite. They just look so chic and feel so nice. Does that make any sense? If not, just go try on a pair. I promise you'll be able to tell the difference.

Kate Spade Cedar Street Lacey Wallet

(Only decent picture I have of it lol.)

I had never had/needed a quality wallet and boy did I not realize it until I got this. It has SO many compartments for cards and the leather is almost 'hard' if you will, making it super durable. I also love that the coin compartment is on the inside!

Steve Madden Heels

Actually, every pair of heels I own are by Steve (even if I only have 4 pairs). I have two pairs of strappy lace up ones, a pair that are plain nude, and my black booties. I adore all of them because they're all comfortable, sturdy, and look amazing. I have (huge, 9.5) wide feet and I never have a problem with their heels. Don't fret either, they always have great sales.

I hope this influences one of your next big splurging decisions!
